Why is it called The Pink Seats? The Pink Seats began as a sports column by Jen Z in The (Vancouver) Province newspaper in January 2006. Jen wanted to choose a name for the column that reflected her female perspective on the game, and also conveyed a point of view that stood out among the others. What would stand out more than a pink seat in your local stadium or arena? Due to a great response and a love for sports writing, Jen expanded her column idea into The Pink Seats website.
